Pink flowers

Hello crafty friends – I’m back at my blog again and over the next couple of weeks I will be showing some cards I recently made for Creative Visions.

This is a cute and easy card to whip up – I colored the flowers with copic markers and sponged the sky with memento ink.  The cloud is a shape cut with my Silhouette.

The image is from Creative Visions Spring Flower set shown here.

How is your garden growing these days?  We’re in the process of revamping our front yard and hope to make it a bit more colorful and decorative.  Right now we have some nice bushes in front along with a rose bush or two, but that is about it.  I’ve been looking through gardening magazines and loving all the pretty flowers and greenery.  So much to chose from!!

While I have my mind on flowers, I made this card using the geranium stamp from Creative Vision, found here.  It was colored with copics.

Some gingham ribbon and embossed background add texture to the card.  Hope you like it!

sailing into the sunset

We are very blessed to be living near the water here in Florida.  The beaches have sugar white sand and  the water is shades of emerald green and turquoise blue.  We have incredible sunrises and sunsets.  So, inspired by the natural beauty around me here is this sailing into the sunset card.

sailboat scene

The image was stamped with memento tuxedo black ink and colored with a variety of copic markers.  The background was sponged with memento inks.  The stamp – called Sailboat Scene – is from Creative Vision stamps and can be found here.

Hello crafty friends.  Here is a quick and easy card to do when you just want something clean and simple.

Versamark resist technique

I stamped the fern image with Versamark and heat set it (no embossing powder) onto glossy card stock.  Then I sponged several colors of memento ink over the entire card front.  That’s it!!  Quick and easy but a nice alternative look in using those foliage stamps.  Just add little ribbon and some bling and you are done.

The fern image is from Creative Vision Stamps and can be found here.  You don’t just get one stamp – you get three!  A large, medium and small version. I used the large and medium  stamps for this card.

grassy sunset

Several times a week my husband and I do a morning walk as part of our exercise routine.  Since we live in Florida it can get a bit hot and humid during the day so we get up before the sun rises and get in our 3 miles and often are rewarded with beautiful sunrises as we make our way home.  During those mornings when the sunrise is especially pretty it is like being rewarded for getting up so early.

So…with sunrises/sunsets on the mind here is a quick and easy card I did…

blowing grass sunset

The blowing grass image is from Creative Vision Stamps and when you buy it you get two sizes – this is the larger of the two.  It can be found here.  The sentiment is also from Creative Vision.

I stamped the image with memento tuxedo black ink then sponged various colors of memento ink to create the sunset colors.  The sponging technique is quick and easy and with the right color combination can create beautiful backgrounds.
