I Brake For……Large Pears

Hello stampers and welcome to Wednesday and I Brake For Stamps!  I hope your Memorial Day weekend was nice and as the unofficial start of summer I hope you had some wonderful weather to enjoy the long weekend.

Today I have a beautifully illustrated stamp to show you.  It is called Large Pears and can be found here on the IBFS store.

I love fresh fruit – especially in the summertime.  We have lemon, orange, and plum trees in our yard but no pear – the weather is simply too hot for pears.  And have you ever had pear ice cream?  Oh it is delicious.  I was at a dinner where the host had homemade pear ice cream and served it with rum pound cake (also homemade).  The combination of the flavors of pear and rum was just delightful!!

The  Large Pear image was stamped with Memento Ink and colored with copics.

I went back and forth on how much embellishing for this card.  The image itself is large so you can only do so much before your card gets too big to handle. On cards like this I tend to leave a sentiment off because the image can be used for a variety of occasions .  Perhaps just a “thinking of you” would work well.  I took the brad used on the card and colored it with a brown copic to coordinate with the other browns used.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hop on over to the IBFS store where you can find this and thousands of other stamps.  Use code SAVE10NANCY and get 10% off your order.

I Brake For…..Apple Blossom!

Hello friends and welcome to Wednesday and I Brake For Stamps!  I have two cards to show you today, both featuring the pretty Apple Blossom – Large stamp.   Here is the first.

I’ve been wanting to do this technique for awhile now – where you use part of a die or cut file to create  the look of a trellis with some flowers climbing on it.  I started with a Silhouette cut file called lattice placemat and using the Silhouette knife tool cut out most of it so that it would fit on a card front.  Here is the original file (which is a 12 x 12 design)  and how I used it on the card front.

I stamped the Apple Blossom image to overlap the cut out area.  This was done intentionally.  I stamped the image again on a separate piece of paper, colored the larger blossom, cut it out and popped it up on the main panel  I sponged some memento ink around the edges.

I found some pretty green organza ribbon along with a stash of silver thank you charms that I have had for ages and added them to the card.

The Apple Blossom image was colored with copics.  It can be found on the IBFS store here.

I decided to do another card with the same stamp but really had nothing in mind.  So I first stamped the image several times in versamark and embossed the images….

Then I took several shades of blue ink and just covered the card with the ink.

Loved the color scheme and decided to make a few tags…

I figured I had the makings of a card at this point so I stamped the bottom of a card base with the same stamp and ink and placed the tags on the front.  Here is the final version.

The “thanks” is a cut file.

I Brake For…Tickled Pink!!

Hello stampers and welcome to Wednesday and I Brake For Stamps!  Do you know someone who is having a baby?  How about a baby girl?  Here is a card with a super cute stamp to celebrate the new addition!

The stamp is called Tickled Pink and is found here.  I stamped it with two different markers, a black one for most of the text and pink for the “tickled pink” part.  The little booties were stamped once on a piece of scrap paper where I colored them pink, cut them out and then glued them onto the front.

The frame and cutout for the centers are die cuts.  I popped the center of the frame out with foam tape to make it stand out a bit more.  The pink mat is embossed with a large dot embossing folder.

I hope you will stop by the IBFS store and check out all the great stamps there.  Use code SAVAE10NANCY for 10% off your order.  If you are looking for some Father’s Day images they have some great masculine/outdoor stamps that would be perfect.

You are my sunshine!

Hello friends and happy Saturday to you!  Tomorrow is Mother’s Day and I hope all the Mom’s out there have a very special day!

Today I have a quick and easy, clean and simple card.  An image, a sentiment and a die cut frame is all that was needed for this card.

The image was stamped in memento black ink and colored with copics on a piece of scrap copic x-press it card stock. I die cut a frame from an orange/yellow card front and added the sentiment.  I went with a white card base but after it was put together I thought it may have looked better using the same color cardstock as the front…..oh well!!

I’m entering this card for two challenges:

The Power Poppy Frame It Out challenge, details here..

and CAS-ual Fridays challenger – details here.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Check back on Wednesday and I’ll have another cute card using stamps from I Brake For Stamps.

I Brake For…..Monster Bash!!

Hello stampers and welcome to Wednesday stamping with I Brake For Stamps!  I have a super cute monster stamp to show you – I love this little guy!!

The image and sentiment is called Monster Bash set and can be found here.  It is part of the Carmen Medlin line and is also included in the Curiosities Set #1 shown here.

I colored him bright green with pink hair and doesn’t he look cute holding a plate with a pink and orange cake?? You can’t tell from the photo but I added a little sparkle to the cake with a stardust gel pen.  The balloons and stitched curved rectangle are die cuts.

I’m falling in love with these cute monster stamps – they’re so much fun to color.  I hope you will take a look at the entire Curiosities line.
