clean and simple monday; buyers remorse

I was able to get this clean and simple card done for today’s challenge at SCS before getting things ready for our trip to Boston.

The card uses a prima flower with Basic Grey Paper, silk ribbon, a scallop border bunch and a sentiment from Papertrey.

Here is my tiny bit of buyers remorse…I saw this flowers online and they looked so pretty in the photo, but when the package arrived for some reason I did not like them.  They sat around for awhile and I thought I would create one of those bold and graphic cards with just 4 of these flowers and a sentiment, but nothing seemed right.  I could not get any cardstock to match well with the flowers.

When I saw today’s challenge I pulled these out again and went through my stash of designer paper.  I finally found this plaid piece from Basic Grey’s Sugar Rush series and it ended up being the best overall match, although not perfect.     An on top of that my nikon camera somehow is not focusing right, so I had to get out my older camera to take the photo.

The flowers were not expensive, so the cost of my remorse is small!  What have you purchased in the past that you now regret?

Thanks for stopping by today!
