All Wrapped Up!

I’m getting a much better head start on the holidays this year than I did last year.  I’ve already started my cards and today I thought I would take part in the Moxie Fab All Wrapped Up Challenge which calls for you to create a  gift bag, tag, box, gift wrap, etc. for the holiday season.  Here is my gift box.

The box is one of those easy origami boxes that I showed on this blog on {this post}.  I started with a 12″ sheet of holiday paper in a poinsettia pattern and created the top.  The bottom of the box is a piece of red paper – sized 11.5″  so that the top would fit over it.  The paper for the box and the tag is from a Paper Studio pack called Greetings Of The Season – 60 pages of patterned and solid 12″ sheets.  It was on sale at Hobby Lobby a week or so ago and I got it at a steal for just over $8!   That works out to about 14 cents a page.

I picked up a couple of holiday paper packs at that time – but guess what.  This paper was not in the scrapbooking section of the store – it was over in the holiday decorations along with a few holiday stamps.  I would have never found it but I just wandered over to that area to look and I am glad I did!

The tag was stamped using some Flourishes images in Memento Bamboo and Rhubarb inks.  The circles and the label tag were cut using nestabilities.   The 1″ satin ribbon is from May Arts and the gold cord is Bow Dabra bow wire.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
