let it snow!

I think autumn is starting to happen down here.  About a week ago it was so hot and humid I thought it was July again!  This week it will be in the 70’s and low humidity  – perfect weather for us!

I’m making a few samples for my LSS using Flower Soft Snow Globes.  Here’s the first..

The snowman image is from Sweet n Sassy stamps and I just love the look on his face – like he is enjoying a wintery day!  The little bit of color on him was done with copics.  He was cut out and popped up against a background made of SEI paper, the  Winter Song series.  Once that was done I filled the plastic globe with Polar White Flower Soft and attached it to the stamped piece.  I covered a plain white gift bag with more paper from the same SEI collection, along with some SU cherry cobbler cardstock and topped the snowglobe with a red grosgrain ribbon.  The Merry Christmas sentiment is from Flourishes stamped with Memento Rhubarb Stalk.  Here’s a close up:

I also made a coordinating tag to go with the bag.  I used a reduced version of the snowman and cut the label out with a spellbinders die.  Memento Sky blue ink was sponged on it and the “to/from” sentiment added last.

I’ll share more of my snowglobe creations in the next day or so.  Thanks so much for stopping by!
