fresh fruit basket

Hello friends!

I’m back!  We’ve been out of town and busy with the normal every day things that get in the way of crafting, and I am so glad to be blogging again.  I’ve been preparing for a copic class I’m teaching in June at my LSS, which will focus on coloring fruit and here is one of the cards we will do.

I love coloring fruit images because they provide a wide range of color choices.  This image is from Peddlers Pack and while it may look like it was alot of work because of all the different types of fruit it really was not.  Because the fruit sections are small they color up quickly.  I think I spent more time on the basket than anything else!  The background embossing was done with a cuttlebug folder – I think it is called “tartan”.

I used many different copic markers to color – here is a recap:

  • basket:  E18, E15, E11, E00
  • cloth:  B24, B23, B21, B0000
  • cherry:  R89, R46, R24
  • strawberry:  R29, R24, R20
  • apple:  R39, R37, R35
  • grapes:  V17, V15, V12
  • banana:  Y15, Y17, Y00
  • pear:  YG25, YG23, YG21, YG0000
  • orange:  YR68, YR61, YR18

The image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on copic x-press it cardstock.   The blue base card is generic, the mat is espresso.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope to share more fruit cards with you soon.
