all that glitters

Lets break out the glitter and glue!!!  Holiday cards always look better with a little sparkle to them and there are so many ways to do this.  You can go all out and apply glitter on everything, or add touches of sparkle with a pen.  Here’s a clean and simple holiday card that uses glittery paper.

I started out by die cutting a poinsettia on a piece of kraft cardstock.  This die is from Spellbinders and instead of using the die cut piece, I used what remained from the punched out shape.   A little burnt umber ink from Palette was sponged around the cut out area to provide a more rustic look.

Behind this I mounted a piece of polka dot glitter paper from Best Creations.  An EK Success scallop border punch was used on three pieces of red cardstock which I attached to the piece by overlaying each strip.  A small strip of the polka dot glitter cardstock was added over the scallops to give it a finished look.   The entire piece was then mounted on red cardstock.

Red and white bakers twine was wrapped several times around the base kraft card before attaching the main panel.

It think this would also be great as a tag.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Tune in tomorrow for more glittery goodness!
