Christmas? Oh no….

Yes, a Christmas card!!  Don’t hate me!!  I know it is so very early to even be thinking about Christmas but this card was so quick and easy to do and I thought I would share it now.

The base card is Cranes Lettra letterpress paper – love this paper because of its wonderful feel and look when either letterpressed, or as shown here, embossed. I used my all time fav cuttlebug embossing folder.

The ornament was made using Spellbinders 2011 Ornament set.  I used the next to smallest die and cut 3 shapes from the Midnight Frost collection from Bo Bunny.  Note:  if the paper you are using is patterned only on one side you will need to cut 4 shapes and combine two to make the middle layer since the back of the paper shows.  The sentiment is from Papertrey.

Here are the three easy steps to make this:

Place the first layer down flat.

Take the second layer and fold it in half.   (Since the back side of the paper will show this is where you will have to combine two pieces if your paper has a pattern on one side only.)  Run a thin line of glue on the fold and attach it to the first layer.

Take the third layer, fold it in half and glue it together.  Run a thin line of glue on the fold and attach it to the second layer.

Then attach the entire piece to the front of your card.

For this card I wanted a little more “sparkle” so before I attached it to the card I lightly sprayed it with adhesive and sprinkled some glitter on the ornament.  Here is a closer look.
