It’s the eve of Christmas Eve – and I hope all my crafty friends are doing well. I was able to finish and mail all my holiday cards out in time this year – something that did not happen last year! I hope I can start the new year by doing Christmas cards each month to avoid the rush at year end.
Here is my tropical Christmas card – I love this image!
The image is a digital stamp that I got from From The Heart Digital Stamps and is perfect for this Floridian! I printed it on Copic X-Press it paper and colored it with copics. An embossed background and minimal embellishments are all that was needed. I know I will use this stamp again – maybe make a nighttime scene.
So – Merry Christmas to all of you! I hope you have a wonderful and peaceful holiday!
Hello again crafty friends! Today I have another tropical type Christmas card to show you.
The wreath can be used for any occasion and since I live in Florida it is perfect for me to use for Christmas. I made two versions of the same card. The one above used tradition blues, pale pinks and neutral browns along with some pops of red to bring a little Christmas color into it. You can’t tell from the photo, but some of the shells have little pops of glitter on them. The image was colored with copics.
The second version has more red to tie into the holiday season and uses kraft cardstock to add a balance against the red. The image is from Flourishes.
Thanks for stopping by – there are more holiday cards to show – hopefully I can get them posted before the Thanksgiving activities take hold!
I’ve used this stamp before but never in a Christmas card . Using non traditional stamps for holiday cards are a great way to get full use out iof them and is a nice change from the usual holiday images.
The stamp is from Stampendous and I’ve had it for many years. it was colored with copics . the sentiment was computer generated .
I’ll be sharing more of my holiday cards over the next week so be sure to stop by.
It’s hard to believe that some areas of the US are still getting snow – so glad I live in Florida!! So – I decided to send some warmth up north via this card.
It was inspired by Theresa Mombers design shown here. I used an image from Viva Las Vegas stamps along with Memento’s Dandelion and Cantelope ink for the sun.
Thanks for stopping by today!
I have not blogged for awhile – just busy with life, that’s all!! We’ve been doing some traveling and keeping busy with other things and my crafting has taken a bit of a vacation.
So…now is the time to get back into the swing of things. I’m teaching a copic class this Saturday at the Gulf Coast Crop-n-Shop weekend at the Emerald Coast Convention Center in Fort Walton Beach and I thought I would show one of the cards we are making:
The sandcastle image is from Impression Obsession and the sentiment from Papertrey. This was a relatively easy image to color. I used copics E30, E21 and E26 for the main image, along with G82, G85 Y11 and R27 for the fence, grass, sun and sand pail. The sky was sponged using Memento Summer sky ink. This could easily become a holiday card – I love to use beachy type images for my holiday cards that I send to my family up north.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
