Today we are featuring the beautiful Lighthouses set.   I LOVE this new set – I already have a bunch of lighthouse images and was so glad to see this one by a rocky shore.
I stamped the image in Memento Black ink and color it with copic markers.   The kraft, blue and white cardstock are from Mark’s Finest Papers.   The background panel was embossed with a cuttlebug houndstooth embossing folder.

Our March New Release Mini:
Brick Wall

pink and grey

This card is for todays color challenge at SCS which calls for a light and dark pink, along with grey.   I love grey with any color – it is a perfect neutral – softer than black.

I stamped the images, from Mark’s Finest Papers Relax A Bit set released this month, on MFP’s white linen cardstock using Memento Inks.   The teapot was stamped again on copic x-press it cardstock, colored then cut out and adhered on top of the linen base.  The ribbon is also from MFP – a pretty pink sheer!

Stampin Up’s blush and basic grey cardstock were used for the base, along with a cuttlebug embossing folder.

Thanks for stopping by today – and Happy Mardi Gras!!

pretty in blue

I know it’s February and so many cards are in shades of pink and red, but I thought I would change it up a bit with a valentine card in blue and white!

The image and sentiment are from Mark’s Finest Papers – I love this image.  It was colored with several shades of copic markers in the B family on copic x-press it card stock.  The blue cardstock is called Dark Night Navy and is gorgeous!  It is also from MFP!

Nestabilites dies were used for all the cutouts.  A cuttlebug embossing folder was used to create the background.

Thanks for stopping by today!   Go Patriots!!

Mark’s Finest Papers

A new year!

Happy New Year Everyone!! After several weeks away from my stamping table I am soooooo glad to be back! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and are ready to face the year. I was not totally a couch potato during the holiday season…. I was able to start and just about finish knitting a scarf – just have about 4 more inches to go and then it is done!

And I got into a cleaning and organizing mode as well. I first went through my bedroom dresser – found out I had 13 pairs of black socks…what’s up with that? I live in Florida!! One pair will suffice! After the dresser I tackled our master bedroom closet. Oy! It’s a decent sized walk in closet that tended to be stuffed with everything. After some major cleaning I ended up with 5 large bags and one large box going to Goodwill and 3 large bags in the trash. We know have tons of space.

The best news of the new year is that I am now a member of the Senior Design Team for Mark’s Finest Papers!!!! Woo Hoo!!! What a wonderful group of ladies – and some beautiful stamps to boot!

So – here is a sneak peek for the January release -the stamps will be available next week. I made this card for todays color challenge at SCS which calls for using the colors of blush, red and baja blue.

The rose postal image and sentiment are from a new set called Sending Happy Thoughts.  I just LOVE postal images – they never seem to go out of style!  I colored the image in copics – using colors in the R and RV for the bud and YG for the leaves.   A little blue memento ink was sponged around the edges.

A cuttlebug folder was used for the embossing and a pretty pink ribbon to tie it all together!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.
