Good morning and I hope your Easter Sunday is glorious! Here is an Easter card for you.
The image was stamped with memento tuxedo black ink and colored with prisma pencils. And embossing folder was used to add some nice texture for the frame, basic grey paper and may arts ribbon finish it off.
This image is from Creative Vision stamps – called Easter Egg in grass – and can be found here. You get two sizes of this stamp – this is the smaller of the two.
Oh it has been awhile since I last posted on this blog and I hope to be doing more this year.
This card with the cute bunny image works well not just for Easter, but for birthdays or any general “good wishes” card. The image is from Creative Visions stamps – and what is wonderful about this company is that when you purchase this stamp (red rubber) it comes in two different sizes – this is the smaller of the two. Sometimes you just need another size of a particular stamp! You can find the stamp here.
The image was stamped with memento tuxedo black ink and colored with copic markers. More to come on Sunday so check back then!
spring: to rise leap or move; a season between winter and summer
It is that time of year where we come out from our winter blues, shed the heavy clothes and bask in the warm weather. I love this time of year – especially in Florida where the plants are bursting with color and the humidity is still tolerable. A time where we see the annual migration of different birds that come and feast on our backyard bird feeders (our little version of a birdy bed and breakfast!). Our year round residents of cardinals, chickadees, doves and wrens are joined with yellow finches, indigo buntings and an occasional robin and oriole. The bluebirds are checking our the birdhouses in their yearly voyage for a home to nest.
In spring we see the leaving of snowbirders as they head back north and the arrival of spring breakers searching for sun and sand. It gives us March Madness (can my alma mater UCONN make it to the final four? I am hoping so) and the opening day of baseball (will the Mets still be in contention in May>….well, hope will only go so far!!)
So, I hope this spring finds you well with feelings of freshness and renewal. Here is a little card I made to get you in the mood for spring. It was colored with prisma pencils.

I’ve been busy with spring cleaning, and last week Orvil’s nephew and wife were visiting from out of town, so not much crafting was done. It was great to see them and we had fun playing tour guide!
Today, I’ve got a little bit of green to celebrate the irish this week, as well as a little chocolate for easter!
I stamped the bunny ( from Flourishes) in Memento Rich Cocoa and colored with copic markers – E25, E33, E21, E11 and E00. I started with the darkest (E25) at the edges and worked my way to center blending from dark to light.
The background leaves (from Rubbernecker) were stamped in SU’s celery – the sentiment was computer generated. The phrase is one that my hairdresser has on her workstation and I always get a chuckle at it when I see her.
The main panel was mounted on brown cardstock and adhered to a celery base card that was embossed with a swiss dot cuttlebug embossing folder. The chocolate satin ribbon is from either JoAnn’s or Michaels.
This clean and simple card was created quickly – the longest part was coloring in the bunny!
I hope your week is going well! Thanks so much for stopping by!
