Hello stamping friends! Just popping in here to show a quick, clean and simple card I made today.
This came together so quickly – it actually took me longer to find the stamps than to make the card! The stamps are mostly from Papertrey with one image from Starving Artistamps. They were stamped with memento inks on watercolor paper. I went back and forth trying to decide whether or not to add bling, more color, ribbon, etc. In the end I just wanted something clean and simple. This card design can be replicated easily and used for a variety of occasions by just changing the sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will check back here on Wednesday – I have a pretty spring card to show!
Hello crafty friends! I have some wonderful news to share with you today – I am now a member of the I Brake For Stamps Design Team! If you know this wonderful stamp company then I don’t have to tell you how great it is Now, if you don’t…well they have thousands – yes thousands – of rubber stamps. In just about every style there is. I’m very happy and proud to be a part of a great team. And I have a coupon for you to receive 10% off at the IBFS store!! Just use code SAVE10NANCY at checkout – I am sure you will find something to love. Now here is my card:
I used the cute Garden Still Life stamp (you can find it HERE). Stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black on copic x-press it card stock and colored it with copics. I paired it with some pretty Memory Box papers that I have been
hoarding holding for just the right project. The garden theme of the stamp works well with the spring colors of green and purple. I drew in some grassy clumps to fill in the ground and on the pots added little white dots. Some ribbons and pearls finish it off. The pearls were white so I colored them with a copic marker to coordinate with the purple of the cardstock.
So.. are you ready to do some planting? Many of you are still in the middle of winter but here in Florida I am in the planning stages of what type of annuals to put in the front yard. We’ll start in March and I can’t wait to get some color in my yard.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you will hop on over to the store – have fun!
Several times a week my husband and I do a morning walk as part of our exercise routine. Since we live in Florida it can get a bit hot and humid during the day so we get up before the sun rises and get in our 3 miles and often are rewarded with beautiful sunrises as we make our way home. During those mornings when the sunrise is especially pretty it is like being rewarded for getting up so early.
So…with sunrises/sunsets on the mind here is a quick and easy card I did…
The blowing grass image is from Creative Vision Stamps and when you buy it you get two sizes – this is the larger of the two. It can be found here. The sentiment is also from Creative Vision.
I stamped the image with memento tuxedo black ink then sponged various colors of memento ink to create the sunset colors. The sponging technique is quick and easy and with the right color combination can create beautiful backgrounds.

Hello crafty friends!! Are you ready for the holidays? My shopping is done, gifts are wrapped and cards have been mailed so now I can relax a bit.
I want to share with you something I made with the latest set from Technique Tuesday’s Greenhouse Society club. The set is called Berries and comes with one main branch image and three small sentiments. It is the perfect set for a clean and simple holiday card. Some easy sponging and stamping with a little glitter added for sparkle and you are done!
I started by taking a piece of white cardstock and masked one portion with a scrap of cardstock cut to mimic a hill. I sponged Memento’s Summer Sky and Danube Blue inks above the mask.
I took another scrap of cardstock and cut it slightly different to create another hill. I positioned this mask lower than the first and sponged again with the same inks. By doing this you end up with two “hills”
I stamped the Berry branch in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored the berries with a red marker and stamped the sentiment in Memento Rhubarb stalk.
To add a little sparkle I glued some Martha Stewart glitter on a few branches.
I created a few cards with this panel as well as a gift card holder – shown below.
Thanks for stopping by today!!
Happy Memorial Day to my USA friends! I hope you are enjoying the day off from work.
Have you noticed the new look of my blog? I decided to make a change and go with this new workpress theme. I’ll be tweaking things over the next few weeks as I work through the details and get better aquainted with all the features. In the meantime here is a clean and simple card using Papertrey stamps and Memento inks.
