A snowy scene

Hello crafty friends!!  Are you ready for the holidays?  My shopping is done, gifts are wrapped and cards have been mailed so now I can relax a bit.

I want to share with you something I made with the latest set from Technique Tuesday’s Greenhouse Society club.  The set is called Berries and comes with one main branch image and three small sentiments.  It is the perfect set for a clean and simple holiday card.  Some easy sponging and stamping with a little glitter added for sparkle and you are done!

I started by taking a piece of white cardstock and masked one portion with a scrap of cardstock cut to mimic a hill.  I sponged Memento’s Summer Sky and Danube Blue inks above the mask.

I took another scrap of cardstock and cut it slightly different to create another hill.  I positioned this mask lower than the first and sponged again with the same inks.  By doing this you end up with two “hills”

I stamped the Berry branch in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored the berries with a red marker and stamped the sentiment in Memento Rhubarb stalk.

To add a little sparkle I glued some Martha Stewart glitter on a few branches.

I created a few cards with this panel as well as a gift card holder – shown below.

sending sunshine

It’s hard to believe that some areas of the US are still getting snow – so glad I live in Florida!!  So – I decided to send some warmth up north via this card.

It was inspired by Theresa Mombers design shown here.  I used an image from Viva Las Vegas stamps along with Memento’s Dandelion and Cantelope ink for the sun.

I want to share with you today a sneak peek of a set to be released by Mark’s Finest Papers next week called Lighthouses.   It’s a wonderful set and this particular image works well for the brayering or sponging technique.  Here is the card.

I started with a piece of MFP’s white linen cardstock – I love the textured look when you brayer ink on linen cardstock.  I used Memento’s Angel Pink, Rose Red and Lulu Lavender to create the sunset look.  The image and sentiment were stamped in Memento Black and heavily sponged in black on the bottom.

You can’t tell from the photo, but the whte panel is letterpressed.

I’ll have more sneak peeks later on this week!  Thanks for stopping by!
