Sisterhood of Crafters

Hello friends – it’s time for another new challenge at the  Sisterhood Of Crafters Blog!    Today’s challenge is PINK!   Anything goes as long as it has some pink.  You can find all the details HERE.

First, let me apologize for he photo.  I just could not get a good picture of this card – it is really pretty IRL!

I decided to go with a clean and simple card,  with soft subtle colors (which I am now finding are very hard to capture in a photo in my craft room)..  My inspiration for the colors was a sweater a friend of mine has – a very pretty soft grey with some pink and white stripes at the bottom.  It’s hard to explain, but it is a very pretty sweater.

So I started with a very light grey paper and combined it with light pink paper.  Just a few tiny stamps for the center  (from Papertrey) – and a simple thank you card is created.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you visit the Sisterhood blog and take part in the challenge.

I Brake For…..Apple Blossom!

Hello friends and welcome to Wednesday and I Brake For Stamps!  I have two cards to show you today, both featuring the pretty Apple Blossom – Large stamp.   Here is the first.

I’ve been wanting to do this technique for awhile now – where you use part of a die or cut file to create  the look of a trellis with some flowers climbing on it.  I started with a Silhouette cut file called lattice placemat and using the Silhouette knife tool cut out most of it so that it would fit on a card front.  Here is the original file (which is a 12 x 12 design)  and how I used it on the card front.

I stamped the Apple Blossom image to overlap the cut out area.  This was done intentionally.  I stamped the image again on a separate piece of paper, colored the larger blossom, cut it out and popped it up on the main panel  I sponged some memento ink around the edges.

I found some pretty green organza ribbon along with a stash of silver thank you charms that I have had for ages and added them to the card.

The Apple Blossom image was colored with copics.  It can be found on the IBFS store here.

I decided to do another card with the same stamp but really had nothing in mind.  So I first stamped the image several times in versamark and embossed the images….

Then I took several shades of blue ink and just covered the card with the ink.

Loved the color scheme and decided to make a few tags…

I figured I had the makings of a card at this point so I stamped the bottom of a card base with the same stamp and ink and placed the tags on the front.  Here is the final version.

The “thanks” is a cut file.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hop on over to the IBFS store to find your favorite image!  Use code SAVE10NANCY and get 10% off your order.

quick and easy thank you

Here is a quick and easy thank you – this can be used for Thanksgiving or Christmas and if you need several of them it will take you no time at all.

The paper used is kraft, cherry cobbler and white.  I love this color combo!  The pine cone stamp in from Stampendous and was colored with SU markers.  The actual image is about 4.5″ long but only a small part of it was used here.

The sentiment is from Flourishes stamped with Memento Rhubarb stalk.  The ribbon is from My Minds Eye and I just had to add the velvet brad in the corner – its from Spare Parts.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
